In this chat with Marisa, Jack and Davy they talked about their craft in how they go about reviving forgotten old songs.
They played at Mill Race Folk on Saturday 13th October 2018 and chose to play Give Me Back My Heart Again for the podcast. It’s a broadside ballad that they discovered in a chapbook on the Bodleian’s digital collections of ballads.
Like the music? Come to Mill Race Folk in Bedford and experience the night for yourself. We would love to see you there. Find us on Facebook, Twitter or check out our website. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and leave us a nice review if you’ve enjoyed the shows.
The days are getting chillier and the nights longer and darker, but please don’t decide to hibernate just yet. This Saturday we are excited for the arrival of Bird in the Belly at Moot Hall in Elstow, Bedford. We still have tickets available. If you haven’t visited Moot Hall yet what on Earth are you waiting for? It’s a glorious old building just perfect for acoustic folk music. It would be wonderful to see you there.
Marisa, Jack and Davy will be supporting on the night too with Rachel on hand with a few tasty snacks.
This is the last Mill Race Folk of the year, so don’t miss it!
