Here’s a video from the most recent Mill Race Folk event at The Place Theatre with Stick in the Wheel. Thanks to Yonder Hedge for the footage and for the audience for singing along! The Place is a lovely venue with brilliant people. Davy spends a lot of time dressing the stage to make it cosy. Our next show there is with Daoíri Farrell on Tuesday 4th April. Get your tickets from here now!
We can’t wait to support Daoíri Farrell next month.
He has just received three BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards nominations for Best Singer, Best Traditional Track and the Horizon Award for best newcomer. The award ceremony is at The Royal Albert Hall on 5th April, BUT he’s performing at Mill Race Folk at The Place Theatre in Bedford the night before on Tuesday 4th April. It’s going to be an extraordinary night of folk music. Don’t miss out!
Tickets are available online now and are only £12
Here’a a video of him performing ‘Creggan White Hare’. It is so beautiful, we’re on the verge of tears.
It’s the first of March. Spring is almost here. Ahhh, it reminds us of a Royston Wood song we recorded, ‘March March (the Morning Sun)’.
Except, this is actually a Christmas song.
And, um… Davy filmed it in the Autumn.
But you do get to see his sexy ankles. Hope you enjoy it!
